After open-recruitment selection, GamaEarth finally had new
members. They were Mba Fadhila, Ririn, Asti, Andrie, Lutfi, and Wahyu. Then, we
gathered in secret room and we warmly welcomed them. We explained about
GamaEarth and our activity. Then, we’re about to held outbound in Samigaluh.
A conversation between Mas Igin and Lutfi:
“Besok Sabtu kita makrab ke Samigaluh ya,”
“Oke. Minggu besok?”
“Bukan. Sabtu besok,”
“Iya, sabtu minggu besok kan,”
“Besok,”
Waaah, outbound will be held tomorrow and new members were
kinda surprised (or shocked!). Some couldn't join us because they already had schedule for tomorrow. Yet thank
goodness some members could join the outbound.

Yaaaaay. Time for outbound. In the morning, we gathered in
KPFT and cusssss went to Samigaluh, Kulonprogo. GamaEarth members who joined
the outbond was Mas Igin, Mba Nisa, Mas Hafidz, Mas Arsyada, Mba Melisa, Mas Barkah, Ririn, Lutfi, and
Wahyu. But not only students from GamaEarth, we also invited another student
group from Kamase (Komunitas
Mahasiswa Sentra Energi) from Physical Engineering –a community concerns about energy and GamaCendikia (Gadjah Mada Cendikia) –a multidisciplinary student
group in Gadjah Mada University. We also invited ChAIN Center (Chemical Engineering Alliance and Innovation Center).
Samigaluh was located high up in the mountain. The road too
Samigaluh was not easy. It ain’t flat but very curvy and steep. The road was
such a challenge for us yet it was soooo fun. Hahahaha.
The first destination was essence and tofu factory. It was
one of GamaEarth’s project who won Mondialogo Engineering Award . The factory still existed until now but several components were
broken and needed to be repaired. After that, we visited Slondok factory. We saw Mba Nisa’s
Slondok oven that she made when she did KKN there. It was awesooooooome.
Then, we went to In our homestay in Nglambur village. There,
we got explaination about sustainable development from ChAIN Center by Mr.
Chandra and Ms. Maya. Sustainable development is development that meets the
needs of present without compromising the ability of future generation to meet
their own need. So, it’s an equilibrium of science, social, and environment. After presentation from ChAIN Center, we heard presentation
and explaination from Kamase about their activities and contributions to
people.
There were many unique things in Nglambur Village. It had
many local factories and fields. But the village was still green and cozy. That
made Nglambur village special and was selected as model village.
In afternoon, we visited flower garden, beehive, and brown
sugar local factory.
It was such a beautiful day. We had new knowledge and
experiences. A priceless treasure. A sweet memory to remember forever. Dark
blue sky had fallen and our today adventure had to come to an end. We climbed
back to our homestay and spent our evening by talking and laughing together.

In early morning, we decided to climb the mountain. It was
the coolest part of the outbond (and literally cold). We reached the summit and
from above we could see the entire village. The scenery was aw aw aw
awesoooooooome. The sun rose up made the sky even more beautiful.
It was the end of our journey. We had to go back to Jogja
again. Yet we promised to carry on the spirit of SD. Uh yeaaaaaaah.
